Tasting Notes
In the glass, this is typically deep garnet with brick-red development at the rim, reflecting its maturity while still retaining concentration. The nose can unfold with layers of blackcurrant, cedar, graphite, tobacco leaf, dried plum and earthy nuances, supported by the signature gravelly, mineral character of Pauillac. On the palate, expect a firm but refined structure, with dark fruit, savory spice, polished tannins and excellent focus. The finish is long and composed, often showing notes of cassis, leather, truffle and oak spice. While already in an expressive drinking window, Latour has the concentration to continue evolving gracefully for many more years under proper cellar conditions.

Production
Château Latour is located in the southern part of Pauillac on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, where deep gravel soils over clay and limestone give Cabernet Sauvignon the ideal conditions to ripen with power and elegance. The estate is known for meticulous vineyard work and strict selection, with hand harvesting and careful sorting helping ensure only the best fruit makes it into the final blend. Vinification is traditionally focused on preserving freshness, structure and purity of fruit, followed by ageing in French oak barrels to build complexity and refine the tannins.

Food & Serving
This is a natural partner for classic dishes such as beef tenderloin, rack of lamb, roasted venison, duck breast or slow-braised short ribs. It also works beautifully with mature hard cheeses and truffled dishes. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant several hours in advance if the bottle is being opened now, as this will help the wine fully раскры its aromas and soften its structure.
