On the palate, Lascombes is usually supple yet structured, with silky tannins, generous dark fruit, and a fresh, lifted finish. The wine can be enjoyed now with decanting, but it also has the balance and depth to develop gracefully over the next decade or more, gaining complexity with age.

Made in Bordeaux’s Margaux appellation on the Left Bank, Lascombes benefits from gravelly soils that promote drainage and encourage concentration in the grapes. The estate traditionally works with careful vineyard selection and precise vinification to preserve fruit purity, freshness, and structure, with élevage in oak contributing texture and aromatic complexity.

A natural match for roast lamb, entrecôte, duck breast, game birds, and dishes with mushrooms or truffle. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for about 1–2 hours if drinking young to help the wine open up and soften its tannins.
