Tasting Notes
Pale straw in the glass with a bright, luminous sheen, this white shows an inviting aromatic profile of ripe stone fruit, white flowers, citrus peel, and subtle herbs. The blend of Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, Viognier, and Marsanne gives the nose both freshness and softness, with a gentle Mediterranean warmth underneath. On the palate, it is round and supple without losing lift, offering ripe pear, peach, and apricot notes layered with citrus and a discreet mineral edge. Six months of lees aging adds a pleasant creamy texture and extra depth, while the finish stays clean and balanced. It should drink well now and evolve nicely over the next few years, gaining a little more nuance and complexity.

Production
The grapes come from the Massif d’Uchaux, where the soils and warm southern Rhône climate help produce wines with concentration, freshness, and aromatic clarity. The vineyards benefit from the region’s sun exposure, while the winery’s organic farming approach supports healthy, expressive fruit. After fermentation, the wine spends six additional months on its lees, building texture and complexity before bottling.

Château La Nerthe is one of the historic estates of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with a heritage deeply tied to the southern Rhône. The Richard family has owned the property for decades, having built their wine business from the 1930s and later expanding into major holdings across Côtes du Rhône, Beaujolais, and Bordeaux. Today, the estate is fully organically certified and widely respected for combining tradition, precision, and a strong sense of place.
