Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Pinot Gris shows a refined, inviting profile with a creamy texture and a balanced, medium-bodied feel. The nose opens with delicate floral notes, hints of vanilla, and ripe stone fruit, while the palate follows with rounded fruit, freshness, and a fine mineral line that gives the wine lift and length. A portion of the wine matured in oak, which adds gentle structure and a soft, polished dimension without overpowering the fruit. It is approachable now for its charm and balance, but also has enough depth to hold well over the next few years.

Production
This wine comes from three vineyard sites in Moravia, where each parcel contributes something different to the final blend: minerality, freshness, and fruit concentration. The use of three Pinot Gris clones adds further nuance and complexity, helping build both texture and aromatic detail. Around one-fifth of the wine is aged in oak barrels, while the remainder is matured in stainless steel tanks to preserve purity and freshness. This combination of élevage creates a harmonious style that brings together creamy mouthfeel, bright fruit, and an elegant finish.

Krásná Hora Pinot Gris 2024 is a versatile food wine that pairs beautifully with shellfish, delicate fish dishes, chicken, and creamy vegetable-based dishes. Serve it chilled at around 8–10°C to best highlight its freshness and aromatic finesse. Decanting is not necessary, but a short period in the glass will allow the wine’s layered aromas to open up.
