Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, intense color and immediately feels substantial. The nose opens with ripe cherry, dark berries, and layered woodland notes, including oak, crushed blueberry leaves, and a subtle earthy complexity that becomes more expressive with air. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with an initial burst of juicy cherry sweetness moving into darker flavors of blackberry, spice, and fine dark chocolate on the finish. Beneath the richness, there is a firm backbone that suggests excellent aging potential, allowing the wine to develop even more nuance over time.

Produced in Croatia’s Dalmatian region, this Zinfandel reflects the character of the Pelješac Peninsula’s warm climate, coastal influence, and mineral-rich soils. The grapes are harvested by hand, and the wine is crafted with careful vinification and extended oak maturation to build structure, complexity, and balance rather than overt sweetness.

This wine pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, beef tenderloin, game, slow-cooked stews, or richly seasoned Mediterranean dishes. It is best served slightly below room temperature, around 16–18°C, and benefits from decanting for about 30–60 minutes before drinking to let its layers fully open.
