Tasting Notes
In the glass, this rosé typically shows a delicate salmon-pink hue with bright clarity. The nose is lifted and youthful, offering notes of wild strawberries, watermelon, red cherry, and a subtle floral edge, with a hint of soft spice that reflects the Pinotage grape. On the palate, it is fresh and juicy with clean red-berry fruit, lively acidity, and a dry, refreshing finish. It is designed for immediate enjoyment rather than long cellaring, though its fruit-forward style will remain appealing over the next 1–2 years while the vintage is still youthful.

Production
Kaapzicht’s vineyards are located on the Bottelary Hills in Stellenbosch, an area known for its mix of granite- and shale-influenced soils and cooling Atlantic breezes. The grapes are harvested at optimum freshness to preserve aromatic lift and natural acidity, then gently handled and vinified with minimal skin contact to achieve the wine’s pale colour and crisp, fruit-driven style.

Food & Serving
This rosé is a versatile food wine, ideal with grilled prawns, smoked salmon, chicken salads, charcuterie, sushi, or Mediterranean mezze. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary.
