Joseph Voillot Bourgogne Rouge Vieilles Vignes is a classic Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir that captures the elegance and finesse of old-vine Burgundy. Made by a sixth-generation family estate with deep roots in Meursault, Volnay, Pommard and Beaune, it reflects both heritage and a thoughtful, terroir-focused approach to farming.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, expect a bright ruby-red color with a lively, graceful sheen. The nose typically leans toward fresh red berries, cherry, wild strawberry and subtle floral tones, with gentle earthy and spice notes developing with air. On the palate, this is a supple, finely textured Burgundy with fresh acidity, delicate tannins and a savory, mineral edge that gives the wine structure and length. It is made to be enjoyed young for its purity and energy, but can also gain extra complexity over the next few years if cellared properly.

Production
This wine comes from carefully tended Bourgogne vineyards worked with respect for the terroir and the surrounding environment, in keeping with the estate’s longstanding philosophy. The grapes are 100% Pinot Noir and are harvested with the aim of preserving freshness and balance, before vinification that emphasizes finesse, clarity and the character of the vintage.

Food & Serving
A versatile red for the table, it pairs beautifully with roast chicken, duck, mushroom dishes, grilled salmon, charcuterie and soft cheeses. Serve slightly cool, around 15-16°C, and consider a short decant if opening it young to allow the aromas to open fully.
