Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Chardonnay shows a bright, polished character with a generous, textured feel. The nose opens with inviting notes of lemon biscuit, ripe citrus, and slightly overripe orange, layered with subtle oak influence and a creamy, lees-driven complexity. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet refined, balancing ripe fruit with freshness and a smooth, elegant structure. The nine months of sur lie ageing add depth and a supple mouthfeel, while the French oak brings gentle spice and a rounded finish. Enjoy now for its vivid fruit and texture, or cellar it for a few more years to let the complexity evolve further.

Production
The grapes were harvested by hand between 7 February and 12 March from selected Chardonnay parcels in Stellenbosch. The juice was fermented in 228-litre French oak barrels sourced from Burgundy, allowing the wine to build texture and complexity from the start. It then matured sur lie in barrel for nine months, with occasional bâtonnage to enhance richness, mouthfeel, and aromatic depth.

Food & Serving
This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with roast chicken, grilled lobster, creamy seafood pasta, seared scallops, or dishes with buttery sauces and subtle oak-friendly richness. Serve chilled at 10–12°C, and decanting is not necessary, though allowing the wine a little time in the glass will help its aromas open up fully.
