Jean Josselin Contexture R.22 NV is a finely judged Champagne that combines generosity with precision, offering a low dosage of 2.5 g/L and fruit drawn entirely from the 2022 harvest. Built from three parcels and a classic Champagne blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, it captures both the richness of the vintage and the estate’s thoughtful, parcel-driven approach.

Tasting Notes
It shows a bright, inviting profile with aromas of orange peel, pear, crisp stone fruit, cherries, and freshly baked brioche. The palate is full-bodied, broad, and muscular, yet lifted by juicy, lively acidity that keeps everything in balance. The finish is long and flavourful, with a satisfying sense of depth and structure. This is a Champagne that already offers plenty of immediate appeal, while its concentration and framing suggest it should also evolve nicely over the next few years.

Production
Contexture R.22 NV comes from three parcels in Champagne and is based entirely on the 2022 vintage, bottled and disgorged in January 2025. The blend brings together 50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, and 20% Pinot Meunier, with a very low dosage that highlights the wine’s natural fruit, texture, and vineyard character.

Food & Serving
A Champagne like this works beautifully with refined but flavourful dishes such as roast poultry, lobster, scallops, mushroom risotto, or aged hard cheeses. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary; a brief rest in the glass will be enough to let the wine open up.
