Tasting Notes
Pale and luminous in the glass, this wine shows a fresh, vibrant profile with a lovely sense of lift. The nose opens with cherry blossom, crisp apple, grapefruit, and a clear mineral edge, giving it a bright, spring-like charm. On the palate, it combines depth and structure with flavors of green apple, a subtle hint of licorice, and a pronounced mineral backbone. The finish is long, silky, and refined, suggesting excellent balance now and the potential to develop further complexity with a few years of cellar time.

Janots-Bos works from a beautiful estate in Meursault in the Côte d'Or, overlooking a walled vineyard and rooted in a terroir known for its complexity and microclimatic diversity. Their approach is deliberately hands-off, avoiding unnecessary additions and interventions so the vineyard character can shine through in the wine.

This Saint-Aubin Premier Cru is a versatile partner for refined dishes such as roast chicken, veal in cream sauce, lobster, scallops, or mushroom risotto. Serve chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and consider a short decant only if opening in its youth to help the wine fully unfold.

Based in Meursault, they have built a reputation for producing high-quality Burgundy with a strong sense of place, and their wines are recognized for their craftsmanship and prize-winning pedigree in the cellar.
