Description

Jacquesson Cuvée 739 Brut Magnum is a refined, terroir-driven Champagne that showcases the house’s minimalist, precision-focused style. Built around the 2011 base vintage and complemented by reserve wines, it combines Chardonnay-led brightness with the texture and depth that have made the Cuvée 700 series so admired among Champagne lovers.

Tasting Notes
Pale gold in the glass with a fine, persistent mousse, this Champagne opens with aromas of citrus zest, green apple, white flowers, brioche, and subtle almond. The palate is crisp and layered, with a chalky mineral core, lively acidity, and notes of orchard fruit, toasted hazelnut, and gentle spice, finishing dry and long thanks to its zero-dosage style. Its structure and balance suggest excellent aging potential, especially in magnum format, where it will develop additional complexity over time. Expect more evolved notes of honey, pastry, and dried fruit with a few years in cellar while retaining its freshness and tension.

Production
Cuvée 739 is assembled from grapes sourced mainly from Aÿ, Dizy, and Hautvillers in the Vallée de la Marne, along with Avize and Oiry in the Côte des Blancs, giving it a strong sense of place and a balance between richness and chalky finesse. The blend is 60% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir, and 20% Pinot Meunier, all spontaneously fermented in large oak casks, then matured for 36 months on the lees before being disgorged without dosage. About 20% reserve wines from older vintages add depth, nuance, and continuity to the cuvée.

Food & Serving
Ideal with oysters, sashimi, scallops, shellfish, or delicate poultry dishes, as well as aged hard cheeses and canapés with a touch of salinity. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C; decanting is not necessary, though a brief rest in the glass can help the wine खुल up and show its full aromatic complexity.

Producer
Champagne Jacquesson has built a strong reputation for producing terroir-expressive, low-intervention Champagnes with a clear focus on quality over consistency. The house is especially known for the Cuvée 700 series, where each release is based on a specific vintage and enhanced with reserve wines to create depth and character. Today, Jacquesson is widely respected as one of Champagne’s most distinctive and critically admired producers.
