Inglenook Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2019 is a thoughtful Napa Valley white that brings a Bordeaux-inspired blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon to California terroir. Born from Inglenook’s decision to replant Petite Sirah vines in soil better suited to white grapes, it offers a refined balance of freshness, texture, and minerality.

Tasting Notes
Pale straw in the glass, with a bright, clean appearance that signals freshness. The nose opens with inviting aromas of peach, pear, lime, lemon grass, and delicate white flowers. On the palate, the Sauvignon Blanc brings lift and precision, while Sémillon adds a rounder, more textural feel. The wine is fruit-forward yet crisp, finishing with a mineral edge that acts almost like a palate cleanser. It is best enjoyed young for its vibrant fruit and freshness, though it should hold nicely over the next few years.

Production
Inglenook identified vineyard soil that was better suited to white wine than to Petite Sirah, and chose to let the terroir guide the replanting. The original vines were grafted over to Sauvignon Blanc, creating the foundation for this cuvée, while a portion of Sémillon was added in the classic Bordeaux style to build complexity and depth. The result is a wine shaped by careful site selection and a vinification approach designed to preserve freshness, structure, and aromatic purity.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with shellfish, grilled fish, roast chicken, asparagus, goat cheese, and light salads with citrus or herb dressings. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and there is no need to decant.
