Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red colour that is clear, intense, and inviting. The nose opens with pronounced aromas of liquorice and wild berries, followed by layers of dark fruit and a subtle earthy depth that adds complexity. On the palate, this is a structured and layered wine with a firm, polished presence. The oak and concrete ageing bring both breadth and finesse, while the long bottle rest helps soften the edges and integrate the flavours. It should continue to develop nicely over the next several years, gaining even more nuance and harmony.

Production
The vineyards are located in Ascoli Piceno, among the rolling hills around Monteprandone, where the combination of Adriatic Sea breezes and cooler air from the Sibilinni Mountains creates a healthy, well-balanced microclimate. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, then gently crushed and macerated in stainless steel with manual punching down and temperature-controlled fermentation. After fermentation, the wine matures for 12 months in oak barrels, followed by a further 12 months in concrete tanks and at least 6 months in bottle before release.

Food & Serving
This is a great match for roasted or grilled red meats, braised lamb, game, and rich pasta dishes with meat sauces. It also works well with aged cheeses and hearty Mediterranean cuisine. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for about an hour to allow the aromas and structure to open fully.
