Hideaway Gåsenæb Rosé 2021 is a charming Danish rosé from Fejø, made by Hideaway Vingård in a style that blends careful craftsmanship with a sunny, Mediterranean-inspired spirit. Built on hand-harvested fruit and a strong belief that great wine starts in the vineyard, it reflects both the island’s mild climate and the producer’s love of Italian wine culture.

Tasting Notes
Pale, inviting pink in the glass, this rosé is likely to show a fresh and lively profile with delicate red berry notes, summer flowers, and a light citrus edge. The palate should be crisp and dry with good balance, gentle fruit expression, and a clean, refreshing finish that makes it easy to enjoy on its own or with food. With its youthful 2021 vintage, it is best enjoyed for its bright fruit and freshness rather than extended ageing, though it should hold well for a short period if stored correctly.

Production
Hideaway Vingård is located on Fejø, where the mild island climate offers unusually favorable growing conditions for Danish viticulture. The wine is made from Bolero, Cabernet Cortis, Reberger, and Rondo, and the estate focuses on gentle, handmade vinification with minimal intervention and as few additives as possible. The vineyards are managed with a strong sustainable approach and are in conversion to organic production, with geese helping keep the grass down between the rows.

Food & Serving
This rosé is a natural match for light Mediterranean dishes, grilled seafood, salads, tapas, fresh goat cheese, and summer vegetables. Serve well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary.

Hideaway Vingård was established after a long search for the best wine location in Denmark, eventually leading the founders to Fejø for its mild, almost Mediterranean microclimate and welcoming local community. Now with 15 years of development behind it, the estate has become a distinctive southern-style Danish vineyard with some of the country’s oldest and well-established vines. Its handmade wines and sustainable philosophy have made it a notable name in Danish wine production.
