Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows an intense ruby-red colour. The nose is inviting and expressive, with juicy cherry, wild berries, and a subtle hint of spice. The palate is full-flavoured and well balanced, driven by Barbera’s naturally lively acidity, which gives the wine energy and freshness. Fine tannins and a long, elegant finish round out the wine, while its solid structure suggests it can drink beautifully now and gain extra complexity with a few years in bottle.

Production
Sourced from Serralunga d’Alba, the wine reflects the area’s unique soils and microclimate, which help give Barbera greater depth, concentration, and complexity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel to preserve purity of fruit and freshness, followed by ageing in large, older Slavonian oak casks, adding texture and finesse without masking the grape’s natural character.

Food & Serving
This is an especially food-friendly red, ideal with Italian dishes such as pasta with rich sauces, grilled meats, roasted poultry, and mature cheeses. Serve it slightly cool, around 16–18°C, and decanting for 30 minutes can help open up the aromatics, though it is not strictly necessary.
