Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a clear golden straw color. The bouquet is layered and expressive, with ripe pear, yellow apple, citrus, white flowers, nuts, gentle spice, and a distinct mineral edge. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with a beautifully integrated acidity that keeps the wine fresh and energetic. The texture is elegant and lightly creamy, finishing long and persistent with stony, nutty nuances. It is enjoyable now, but the 2019 vintage and magnum bottling give it the structure to develop further complexity over time.

Production
Scapulin comes from vineyards in the Langhe area of Piemonte, where calcareous and marl-rich soils contribute to the wine’s finesse, mineral character, and structural clarity. The 2019 vintage was marked by moderate temperatures and slow ripening, producing grapes with excellent balance, vivid acidity, and defined fruit. Vinification focuses on preserving terroir expression and complexity, with partial fermentation in oak, amphora, and stainless steel, followed by ageing in oak barrels and bottle maturation.

This wine pairs beautifully with rich seafood dishes, roast poultry, creamy pasta, risotto, and mature vegetable-based dishes.
