Description
Franck Bonville Champagne Grand Cru Rosé Brut is a refined and elegant expression of Champagne, bringing together the freshness of Chardonnay with the delicate fruit character of Pinot Noir. Sourced from Grand Cru vineyards, it offers both pedigree and finesse, making it a standout choice for celebrations and special aperitifs.
Tasting Notes
Pale salmon pink in the glass with a lively, persistent mousse. The nose is bright and refined, showing fresh red berries, citrus peel, white flowers, and a subtle brioche note from time on lees.
On the palate, it is crisp and precise, with layers of strawberry, raspberry, pink grapefruit, and chalky minerality balanced by a dry, creamy texture. The finish is clean and refreshing, with enough depth to suggest good short- to medium-term aging, though it is best enjoyed for its youthful vibrancy.
Production
This Champagne comes from Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, a terroir known for its chalky soils and excellent conditions for Chardonnay. The blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir is crafted to highlight freshness, elegance, and a fine rosé character, with careful harvesting to preserve acidity and aromatic purity. Vinification follows traditional Champagne methods, with secondary fermentation in bottle and aging on lees to build texture and complexity.
Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at 8-10°C. It works beautifully as an aperitif and pairs especially well with salmon tartare, tuna, sushi, duck breast, roast chicken, or berry-based desserts. Decanting is not recommended; simply open and enjoy to preserve the wine’s lively mousse and freshness.
