Tasting Notes
Deep in colour and equally expressive on the nose, this wine opens with blackcurrant, blueberry, and dark cherry layered over warm, spicy oak. With time in the glass, more of its cool-climate Sonoma character comes forward, adding freshness, lift, and subtle complexity. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated, with generous dark fruit at the core and a lively, refreshing acidity that keeps everything in balance. Cabernet Sauvignon provides the backbone, while Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec add depth, texture, and aromatic nuance. This is a wine with excellent ageing potential, and it will continue to gain complexity over the coming years.

Production
Archimedes is sourced from carefully selected parcels across Sonoma County, with Cabernet Sauvignon mainly coming from the winery’s own vineyards in Alexander Valley, while Cabernet Franc is harvested from Knights Valley to bring added complexity and depth. The blend is assembled from the best barrels from each parcel, ensuring only the most expressive lots make it into the final wine. The wine is aged for close to two years in French oak barrels, a regimen that adds spice, structure, and refinement while preserving the purity of the fruit. The result is a powerful yet polished Cabernet-based blend that showcases the cooler coastal influence of Sonoma.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for grilled ribeye, lamb chops, braised short ribs, or rich dishes with mushroom and truffle accents. Serve at 16–18°C and consider decanting for at least one hour, especially if opened young, to allow the wine to fully раскрыть its layers and aromatics.
