Tasting Notes
In the glass, Opale Rosè Zero Alcol shows a delicate, pale salmon-pink hue with a fine, persistent mousse and lively bead. The nose is fresh and inviting, with notes of wild strawberries, crunchy red cherries and pomegranate, layered with hints of white peach, citrus zest and a gentle floral touch reminiscent of rose petals and acacia. On the palate, it is light, crisp and pleasantly dry in style, balancing bright red berry fruit with refreshing acidity and a subtle grapey sweetness from Glera. Merlot adds a soft, rounded fruit core and a whisper of redcurrant and raspberry. The finish is clean, zesty and moreish, making it easy to sip yet structured enough to feel like a true sparkling wine experience. Production
Sourced from vineyards in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, this wine reflects the region’s cool breezes from the Adriatic and the mineral influence of alluvial and gravelly soils, which help preserve acidity and aromatic intensity. Glera and Merlot grapes are harvested relatively early to retain freshness, then gently pressed and fermented at controlled, cool temperatures in stainless steel to protect their delicate aromas. After the base wine is created, a careful dealcoholization process—typically using low-temperature vacuum techniques—is employed to remove alcohol while preserving as much flavor and texture as possible. The wine is then rebalanced, gently carbonated to achieve a fine perlage, and bottled under pressure to lock in its lively sparkle.
