Enrico Serafino Alta Langa Brut Oudeis 2020 is a refined sparkling wine from Piemonte that puts terroir front and center. The name Oudeis, meaning “no one” in Greek, is a thoughtful nod to the idea that the wine’s character comes first and foremost from the land of the Langhe rather than from the hand of the winemaker alone.

Tasting Notes
Pale straw-yellow in the glass with a fine, persistent mousse, it shows the elegance expected of top Alta Langa sparkling wine. The nose is layered and precise, with notes of crisp orchard fruit, citrus zest, white flowers, and subtle hints of brioche and almond. On the palate, it is fresh and energetic, with a creamy texture balanced by bright acidity and a clean, mineral-driven finish. Chardonnay brings finesse and freshness, while Pinot Noir adds structure and depth. This is a wine that can be enjoyed now for its vibrancy, but it also has the balance to develop further complexity with a few years of bottle age.

A versatile sparkling wine, Oudeis pairs beautifully with oysters, sushi, seafood crudo, delicate white meats, and creamy risottos. It also works well as an aperitif or alongside fried appetizers and aged cheeses. Serve well chilled at around 6–8°C, and decanting is not necessary.
