Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby-red color with youthful purple highlights. The nose leans toward ripe blackcurrant, dark cherry, cedar, and subtle spice, while the palate is medium to full-bodied with polished tannins, fresh acidity, and a core of dark fruit framed by graphite and a touch of oak. As a youthful 2023 Bordeaux, it is designed for near- to medium-term enjoyment, but it should also gain nuance over several years of bottle age. The structure suggests it can develop added complexity with time, softening into a more layered and elegant expression.

Production
Sourced from vineyards in Pauillac, where gravelly soils and excellent drainage encourage concentration and finesse, Echo de Lynch-Bages is made with the same attention to detail associated with the grand vin. The fruit is typically harvested parcel by parcel at optimal ripeness, then vinified with care to preserve freshness, fruit purity, and balance before aging in oak to add texture and complexity.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, and mushroom-based dishes, as well as aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C; decanting for 30–60 minutes is recommended if enjoying it young to help the aromatics open and the structure soften.
