Description

Dujac Fils & Père Chambolle-Musigny 2008 is a beautifully poised Burgundy from one of the region’s most respected names. Sourced from carefully selected parcels in the heart of Chambolle-Musigny, it captures the village’s hallmark finesse, perfume, and silken texture in a classic Pinot Noir expression.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright ruby-red color. The nose is lifted and refined, with aromas of cherry, raspberry, violets, and a subtle hint of spice. On the palate, it is elegant and balanced, with fine tannins, lively acidity, and a delicate mineral edge that brings length and harmony. The 2008 vintage is now entering a more mature phase, showing rounded, settled fruit while retaining freshness and precision. It has the graceful structure to continue drinking well over the coming years, though it is already very appealing now.

Production
The wine comes from limestone- and clay-rich parcels in Chambolle-Musigny, where old Pinot Noir vines contribute concentration and finesse. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified with partial whole clusters to preserve aromatic complexity and add structure. After fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels, with a moderate proportion of new oak providing depth and a gentle spicy frame without dominating the fruit.

Food & Serving
This Chambolle-Musigny is a natural match for roast duck, pigeon, veal, mushroom dishes, or soft-rinded cheeses. Serve it slightly below room temperature, ideally around 15–17°C, to best highlight its perfume and freshness. Decanting for 30–60 minutes is recommended if opened now, especially to let the wine fully unfold in the glass.

Producer
Domaine Dujac, based in Morey-Saint-Denis, is one of Burgundy’s benchmark producers and is renowned for its precision, purity, and elegant style. Founded in the late 1960s, the domaine quickly earned a strong reputation for thoughtful vineyard work and sensitive winemaking. Today, Dujac is especially admired for producing some of the Côte de Nuits’ most refined and expressive Pinot Noirs.
