Crafted in Contessa Entellina, it’s known for its balance of ripe fruit, lively freshness, and the unmistakable Mediterranean character that has made Donnafugata one of Sicily’s most admired producers.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, La Fuga shows a clear straw-yellow color with luminous reflections. The nose opens with white peach, citrus, green apple, and delicate floral notes, rounded out by hints of tropical fruit and a subtle mineral edge. On the palate, it is crisp and well-defined, with juicy fruit, vibrant acidity, and a smooth, refined texture. The finish is clean and persistent, making it appealing now for its freshness, while still offering enough structure to evolve gracefully over the short term.

Production
La Fuga comes from the Contessa Entellina area in western Sicily, where warm days, cooling breezes, and varied soils help preserve freshness and aromatic precision in Chardonnay. The grapes are harvested carefully at optimal ripeness, then vinified with a focus on protecting the variety’s delicate aromatics and maintaining a clean, expressive style.

Food & Serving
This Chardonnay is an excellent match for grilled fish, shellfish, seafood pasta, chicken dishes, and vegetable risottos. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C; decanting is not necessary.
