Tasting Notes

Production
This grappa comes from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a region known for its strong distilling tradition and its close connection to high-quality grape pomace. The spirit is aged in antique oak barrels, which give it its amber color and contribute to its aromatic complexity and smooth, layered profile. The result is a carefully balanced aged distillate that reflects both tradition and skilled cask maturation.

Food & Serving
Domenis Grappa Storica Riserva is ideal as a contemplative after-dinner spirit, particularly alongside dark chocolate, almond pastries, dried fruit, or aged cheese. Serve it slightly cool, around 16–18°C, in a tulip-shaped grappa glass to best appreciate its aroma. Decanting is not necessary, though allowing it a few minutes in the glass can help reveal its full bouquet.
