Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the polished, inviting character expected from a serious Chambertin, with a deep ruby hue and an elegant, concentrated presence. The nose opens with powerful aromas of red berries, licorice, and leather, while the palate reveals layers of cherry and brandy-like richness, supported by firm tannins and fresh acidity. This is a wine built in the traditional Gevrey style: structured, fruit-driven, and decidedly not made for immediate drinking. With time in bottle, it will gain complexity and soften beautifully, rewarding patient cellaring.

Food & Serving
This Chambertin is an excellent match for terrines and pâtés, roasted organ meats, pork dishes with sauce, and braised veal. It also pairs wonderfully with washed-rind cheeses such as Époisses and Langres. Serve at 13–14 °C, and consider decanting if drinking young to help the wine open and soften.

Domaine Tortochot is a family estate with deep roots in Gevrey-Chambertin, tracing its winemaking heritage back through four generations. The estate was once run by Paul Tortochot in the 19th century, and today it is led by his great-granddaughter Chantal, who brings both continuity and modern expertise to the domaine. Known for producing wines that reflect the true identity of Gevrey, Tortochot is regarded as one of the region’s notable names and a faithful interpreter of its Grand Cru terroirs.
