Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, inviting pale gold hue with a lively sheen. The nose opens with fresh citrus, white flowers, and orchard fruit, followed by a more textured, creamy depth that hints at its Meursault origins. On the palate, it is supple and harmonious, combining the freshness of Aligoté with a broader, almost Chardonnay-like richness. Notes of lemon zest, ripe pear, and subtle stone fruit are supported by a rounded mouthfeel and a clean, mineral finish. Thanks to the concentration from old vines and careful élevage, it should age gracefully for a few years, gaining even more nuance and complexity.

Production
This wine comes from vineyards in and around Meursault, one of Burgundy’s most admired terroirs, where limestone-rich soils and a prized village-level climate help bring finesse and depth to the fruit. The vines range from 35 to over 80 years old, contributing both vibrant acidity and impressive concentration. Harvesting is carried out with attention to preserving freshness and balance, and the wine is then aged for 10–12 months in neutral cement tanks on the lees. This approach allows the purity of the fruit and the character of the terroir to shine, while lees contact adds texture and complexity without overt oak influence.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent partner for baked fish, especially when served with a rich beurre blanc, but it also works beautifully with shellfish, poultry in cream sauces, and refined vegetable dishes. Serve at around 12°C in large Burgundy glasses to let the wine’s layered aromatics and rounded texture fully unfold. Decanting is not essential, but a little time in the glass can help open up its more expressive side.
