Domaine Roux Meursault Village 2021 is a classic white Burgundy that combines richness, precision, and the hallmark charm of Meursault. Crafted from Chardonnay in one of Burgundy’s most celebrated communes for white wine, it offers a beautifully balanced style with depth from oak and a distinctly luxurious, creamy texture.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a generous, creamy profile with ripe tropical fruit character. Aromas of pineapple and lychee lead the way, layered with toasted oak, subtle spice, and a hint of buttery richness. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and well composed, with vibrant acidity keeping the intensity in check. The result is a Meursault that feels both ample and refined, with good concentration and the structure to evolve gracefully over time.

Production
The grapes come from Meursault in Bourgogne, where the limestone-rich terroir helps shape wines with both power and freshness. Domaine Roux follows a traditional approach for its white wines: fermentation takes place in barrel over three to four weeks, followed by aging for up to 18 months in oak, including around 20-30% new wood. This careful élevage adds texture, complexity, and a polished oak signature without overwhelming the fruit.

Food & Serving
This Meursault is an excellent match for rich seafood such as lobster, scallops, or buttery fish dishes, as well as roast chicken, veal, and creamy mushroom-based preparations. Serve it at around 10-12°C to bring out its freshness and aromatic detail. Decanting is optional, but a short airing can help the wine open up beautifully in its youth.
