Domaine Rois Mages Bouzeron 2021 is a fresh, terroir-driven white Burgundy that shows the lively character of Aligoté at its best. Crafted in the Côte Chalonnaise, it combines precision and brightness with the kind of subtle complexity that makes Bouzeron one of Burgundy’s most distinctive white appellations.

Tasting Notes
Pale straw in the glass, this wine offers a clean, expressive nose of hazelnut, citrus and a hint of exotic fruit. The palate is crisp and rounded at the same time, with a lively citrus core, fine freshness and a gentle, nutty finish that adds depth without weighing it down. Its balance of tension and texture gives it immediate appeal, while the purity of fruit suggests it will hold well over the next few years. Best enjoyed for its vibrant youth, though it can develop a little more complexity with short-term cellaring.

Production
The vineyards lie across 11 hectares in Rully, Bouzeron and Beaune, where the family focuses on expressing Burgundy’s varied terroirs through careful vineyard work and restrained winemaking. To preserve Aligoté’s natural freshness, the grapes are pressed gently and the must is fermented in stainless steel, including both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, to maintain clarity, lift and precision.

Food & Serving
A natural match for oysters, sushi, steamed or grilled shellfish, and other seafood dishes where its citrus note shines. It also pairs beautifully with goat cheese, ham with parsley, veal and poultry. Serve well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary.

Producer
Domaine Rois Mages was established in the 1980s when Anne Sophie and her husband settled in Burgundy, inspired by the region’s landscapes and vineyards. Their son Felix joined the domaine in 2009 after travelling the world, bringing a strong winemaking vision rooted in respect for terroir and tradition. Today, the estate spans 11 hectares and is recognized for producing expressive wines from Rully, Bouzeron and Beaune.
