Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a golden hue, hinting at its ripe, expressive style. The nose opens immediately with wildflowers, white peach, yellow apple, honeydew melon, pomelo, and a subtle sweet note of freshly baked brioche. On the palate, the wine is supple and layered, but always lifted by a vibrant mineral thread that brings focus and energy to the fruit. The result is a wine with both depth and nerve, and it should drink beautifully now while having the structure to gain further complexity over the next few years.

Production
Les Rochelles comes from Mercurey in the Côte Chalonnaise, where the climate is generally warmer than in the Côte d’Or, allowing for riper fruit and a fuller style of white wine. That richness is balanced by the region’s limestone-rich subsoil, which contributes the wine’s tension, salinity, and structural precision. The grapes are vinified to preserve both aromatic intensity and the mineral freshness that defines the site.

This wine is an excellent match for roast chicken, veal in cream sauce, shellfish, grilled fish, or mushroom-based dishes, where its richness and freshness can complement both delicate and savory flavors.
