Domaine Maillard Chorey-Les-Beaune is the domaine’s calling card: a beautifully balanced Pinot Noir that showcases the finesse and purity of Burgundy. Sourced from vineyards surrounding the village where the Maillard family lives, it offers both immediate charm and the pedigree to age gracefully.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows good depth and an inviting, classic Burgundy character. The nose opens with red berries and dried flowers, followed on the palate by clean, precise fruit, ripe strawberry notes, and a subtle spicy edge that brings the wine into focus. The overall impression is refined rather than heavy, with freshness and elegance leading the way. While delicious in its youth, it also has enough structure and balance to develop over time, with the potential to evolve for up to 12 years.

Production
This wine comes from 5.8 hectares of vines planted around Chorey-les-Beaune, where the Maillard family has its home base. The vines are more than 30 years old, helping to ensure concentrated, high-quality fruit. The grapes are hand-selected on arrival at the winery, fermented in open vats, and then aged for 15 months in 228-liter oak barrels before bottling.

Food & Serving
A natural match for light meats, especially poultry, this wine also pairs well with roast chicken, turkey, or veal. Serve it slightly cool, around 15–16°C, and consider decanting for about 30 minutes if opening young to allow its aromas to fully unfold.
