Domaine Henri Clerc Bourgogne Chardonnay 'Emotion' 2021 is a thoughtful white Burgundy that punches well above its appellation, bringing together fruit from prized sites such as Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault and Savigny-lès-Beaune. Created in collaboration with renowned sommelier Olivier Poussier, it offers classic Bourgogne character and impressive value in a style that feels both generous and refined.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the pale gold hue typical of fine Chardonnay, with an inviting brightness. The nose is expressive and layered, opening with ripe pear, citrus and pineapple, followed by hints of honey and toast that add warmth and complexity. On the palate, the wine is rounded and fruit-driven, with a supple, creamy texture balanced by lively freshness. The blend of terroirs gives it both richness and elegance, and while it is delicious now, it should also develop nicely over the next few years, gaining further complexity with time.

Production
This cuvée is made from Chardonnay sourced from a selection of terroirs in Burgundy, including top communes known for their outstanding white wines. The vines are on average around 35 years old, which contributes depth, concentration and a pleasing sense of structure. The wine is crafted as a blend to capture both intensity and balance across these different sites.

Food & Serving
A versatile match for roast chicken, creamy pasta, grilled fish, scallops or soft cheeses such as Comté and Brie de Meaux. Serve it chilled at around 10-12°C to preserve freshness while allowing the wine’s texture and aromatics to shine. Decanting is not necessary, though a short time in the glass can help the wine open up further.
