Tasting Notes
Expect a bright, pale straw color with glints of green. The nose is lifted and expressive, showing citrus, white flowers, green apple, and the stony, flinty minerality that is so typical of Sancerre. On the palate, it is crisp and focused, with lively acidity, clean citrus fruit, and a saline, mineral finish. The stainless-steel élevage preserves its freshness and clarity, while the 2022 vintage should offer immediate appeal with the potential to develop a little more breadth and nuance over the next few years.

Production
The wine comes from Domaine François Millet in Bué, a key site in the southern zone of Sancerre where the terroir is well suited to Sauvignon Blanc. The family estate dates back to the 1700s, and Nicolas Millet represents the 9th generation to work the domaine. The grapes are pressed slowly using a pneumatic press, then matured for 10 months in stainless steel tanks to preserve aromatic purity and the crisp, mineral profile of the wine.

This Sancerre is a natural match for goat cheese, oysters, shellfish, grilled fish, and light vegetable dishes, especially those with fresh herbs or citrus. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C; decanting is not necessary, though a short rest in the glass can help the aromatics open up.

Today, Nicolas Millet leads the 9th generation, overseeing vineyards planted mainly to Sauvignon Blanc for Sancerre Blanc, alongside Pinot Noir for the appellation’s red and rosé wines. The domaine is respected for its traditional approach and its clear expression of Sancerre’s terroir.
