Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, inviting colour, hinting at the concentration to come. The nose opens with dark berries such as blackberry and blackcurrant, layered with forest floor, black pepper, violet, and a subtle smoky mineral note. The palate is rich yet finely detailed, with silky ripe tannins and a fresh acidity that keeps everything lifted and balanced. Dark fruit, graphite, floral nuances, and gentle spice unfold gradually, finishing long and harmonious. It is already very enjoyable with some air, but should age gracefully for the next 8–12 years.

The wine comes from old Syrah vines rooted in steep, granite-rich slopes in Saint-Joseph, where low yields naturally deliver intensity and complexity. The terroir gives the wine its mineral edge, freshness, and aromatic precision, while careful harvesting and traditional vinification help preserve the purity of the fruit and the character of the site.

This is an excellent match for lamb, game, duck confit, braised dishes, and mature hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if opening it young to help the aromas fully open.
