Domaine Des Chasseignes Cuvée Intuition is a distinctive Sancerre Blanc that offers a more natural, unfiltered expression of the region. Made without added sulfites and produced with a light touch, it highlights the purity, freshness, and character of the Loire’s famous limestone slopes.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep golden hue, signaling both concentration and a more textured style than many classic Sancerres. The nose opens with ripe peach, lemon, and mango, layered with hints of dried fruit and orange peel. On the palate, the wine remains unmistakably Sauvignon Blanc, with bright acidity carrying the fruit through to a crisp, mineral finish. The unfiltered style gives it added depth and a slightly broader mouthfeel, while the mineral backbone keeps it vivid and precise. It should drink beautifully now, with enough structure to develop gracefully over the next few years.

Production
The grapes come from two parcels, Les Sentiers and Les Guillopees, each contributing a different dimension to the final blend. One site is rich in clay and Kimmeridgian marl, while the other brings limestone fragments, creating a terroir-driven wine with both texture and freshness. The wine is vinified with minimal intervention: no added sulfites and no filtration, allowing the vineyard character to remain front and center. This approach is aimed at preserving a pure, unadorned Sancerre expression that reflects soil, fruit, and vintage as naturally as possible.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for oysters, grilled fish, shellfish, goat cheese, and fresh salads with citrus or herb dressing. Serve chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and consider brief decanting if you want the aromatic layers to open up more fully.
