Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine shows a clear ruby-red colour. The nose is distinctly Pinot Noir, with delicate aromas of small red berries and a subtle floral lift. The palate is silky and harmonious, with fresh acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a graceful, fruit-driven finish. Light oak ageing adds a gentle touch of spice and complexity without overpowering the wine’s purity. It can be enjoyed now for its freshness and charm, but will also develop nicely over the next few years.

Production
The grapes come from 30-year-old vines rooted in clay and limestone soils on just 1.94 hectares, resulting in naturally low yields and concentrated fruit. Harvesting is done by hand, followed by careful sorting in the cellar. Fermentation takes place in wooden vats, and the wine is then aged for 15 months in oak barrels to build finesse, texture, and a subtle spicy nuance.

This Bourgogne Rouge is a versatile food wine that pairs beautifully with roasted meats, red meat dishes, game, and mild cheeses. Serve it slightly cool, ideally around 14–16°C, to highlight its freshness and aromatic precision. Decanting is not essential, but a short rest in the glass can help open up the wine if served young.
