Description

Dom Ruinart 2013 is the prestige cuvée of Ruinart, the oldest established Champagne house, crafted only in exceptional vintages. Known for its refined Chardonnay-led style, it combines elegance, precision and impressive depth, making it a benchmark for fine blanc de blancs Champagne.

Tasting Notes
Pale gold in the glass with a fine, persistent mousse, Dom Ruinart 2013 shows a bright and youthful profile. The nose is delicate yet expressive, with notes of citrus peel, white flowers, crisp orchard fruit, toasted brioche and a subtle chalky mineral character. On the palate it is layered and silky, with vibrant acidity balancing the wine’s creamy texture and concentration. Flavors of lemon curd, green apple, pear, almond and pastry unfold into a long, saline finish. While already very appealing, it has the structure and balance to age gracefully for many more years.

Production
Produced in Champagne, France, Dom Ruinart 2013 reflects the region’s chalk-rich terroir, which brings tension, finesse and mineral drive to the wine. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified with great precision to preserve purity and freshness, with extended cellar aging helping to build complexity and texture.

Food & Serving
Best served well chilled at 8-10°C, Dom Ruinart 2013 is an excellent match for oysters, scallops, lobster, sashimi, roasted poultry or refined dishes with cream or beurre blanc. Decanting is generally not necessary, though a brief aeration in the glass can help the wine open up if served young.

Producer
Ruinart was founded in 1729 and is widely recognized as the oldest Champagne house. The maison is especially renowned for its Chardonnay-focused style and its elegant, luminous wines, with Dom Ruinart standing as one of its most celebrated prestige cuvées.
