With winemaker Ehren Jordan at the helm, it shows why Zinfandel can be both powerful and refined, with pedigree vineyards from Russian River Valley, Dry Creek, and Alexander Valley behind it.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Zinfandel leans deep and inviting, with dark fruit character framed by a cooler, more restrained profile. The nose opens with blackberry, boysenberry, pepper, sandalwood, and dried spice, giving way to a palate of blueberry, cherry, black pepper, tangy raspberry, boysenberry, cranberry, and a subtle hint of liquorice. What stands out most is the balance: the acidity keeps the wine lively and focused, while the fruit remains ripe without tipping into sweetness. It finishes long and harmonious, with enough structure to drink well now and the potential to develop further over the next few years.

Production
Day is a blend of 95% Zinfandel and 5% Petite Sirah sourced from some of the best sites in California’s Russian River Valley, Dry Creek, and Alexander Valley. These regions contribute ripe fruit, natural freshness, and a distinctly layered mineral edge, while careful vinification and a restrained stylistic approach preserve the wine’s brightness, spice, and structural balance.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for grilled or roasted meats, barbecue, lamb, peppery sausages, and hearty mushroom dishes. Serve it slightly below room temperature, around 16–18°C, and consider a short decant if you want the aromatics to open fully and the texture to soften.
