Darioush Signature Shiraz 2018 is a powerful yet polished Napa Valley Shiraz that balances ripe fruit, spice, and structure in a distinctly modern California style. Tasting Notes
In the glass, this wine shows a deep, dark color that hints at its concentration. The nose is layered and aromatic, with dark berries, black cherry, and plum lifted by pepper, warm spices, and a subtle touch of toasted oak. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated, but carried by a silky texture, lively acidity, and ripe tannins that give the wine both breadth and elegance. Its structure and balance suggest excellent aging potential, allowing the spice and fruit to evolve beautifully over time.

Production
The grapes come from the cooler parts of southern Napa Valley, especially Oak Knoll, where the climate supports slow ripening and helps preserve freshness alongside ripe fruit character. The wine is matured in a high proportion of new French oak barrels, adding complexity, structure, and refined spice without masking the natural intensity of the Shiraz.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for lamb, grilled meats, and rich dishes with warm spices or smoky elements. Serve it at around 16-18°C, and consider decanting for about an hour if drinking young to allow the aromatics and tannins to open fully.
