Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine typically shows a deep ruby-purple color with a polished, youthful core. The nose is fragrant and layered, offering ripe black cherry, plum, violet, truffle, graphite, and subtle spice, all framed by a fresh mineral edge. On the palate, it is silky and precise, with generous Merlot-driven fruit, fine-grained tannins, and a vibrant line of acidity that keeps the wine lively and long. The 2018 vintage has the concentration to age beautifully, and it should continue to gain complexity over the next 15 to 25 years, developing more earthy, savory, and truffle-driven notes with time.

Production
Located on the clay and gravel soils of Pomerol, La Conseillante benefits from a terroir that naturally lends finesse, texture, and aromatic complexity. The estate’s vineyards are carefully managed and harvested by hand, with grapes selected parcel by parcel to preserve purity and precision. Vinification is traditionally focused on gentle extraction and careful élevage in French oak, allowing the vineyard character and the vintage to speak clearly in the finished wine.

Food & Serving
This is a superb match for fine red meats such as beef fillet, lamb saddle, or duck breast, as well as dishes with mushrooms, truffles, or rich sauces. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1 to 2 hours if drinking young to let the bouquet open fully and the texture soften.
