Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a warm amber-gold color, often with polished highlights that hint at its time in oak. The nose opens with notes of vanilla, toasted wood, dried fruit, cocoa, and gentle spice, layered over the grassy, floral character typical of agricole rhum. On the palate, it is smooth and rounded, with flavors of caramel, ripe banana, baked tropical fruit, nutmeg, and subtle tobacco, supported by fresh cane sweetness and well-integrated oak. The finish is long, warming, and lightly spiced, with enough structure to suggest good bottle-aged complexity rather than long-term cellaring potential.

Production
Produced in Martinique, where the volcanic soils and tropical climate shape the character of the cane, this rhum is made in the agricole tradition using fresh sugarcane juice. After distillation, it is aged in oak casks under warm island conditions, which accelerate maturation and help build richness, spice, and smooth texture.

Food & Serving
Best enjoyed neat or with a single large ice cube to let the aromas open gradually. It pairs well with dark chocolate, caramel desserts, grilled pineapple, mature cheeses, or cigars, and can also add depth to elevated rum cocktails. Serving it slightly below room temperature is ideal, and decanting is not necessary.
