Château de Montifaud Napoleon Special Cigare is a distinctive 18-year-old Cognac presented at cask strength, offering more intensity and structure than the standard bottling. Matured exclusively in old oak barrels, it highlights the elegance of Petite Champagne while delivering a richer, more powerful expression designed for slow enjoyment.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, dark color that reflects its long aging in oak. The nose is expressive and layered, with aromas of barrel spice, cedarwood, and vanilla leading the way. On the palate, it is rich, full-bodied, and highly complex, with a bold texture and a long, satisfying finish. Notes of dried fruit and plums add depth and warmth, while the cask-strength bottling gives the Cognac extra presence and aging potential in the bottle, though it is already beautifully mature.

Production
This Cognac comes from Petite Champagne and has spent 18 years aging exclusively in old oak casks, allowing it to develop depth without excessive wood influence. Bottled at 46% ABV directly from the cask, it preserves the original concentration and character of the spirit, with no dilution down to the usual 40%.

Food & Serving
Best enjoyed neat, ideally in a tulip glass or a small Cognac glass to concentrate the aromas. It pairs especially well with a fine cigar, dark chocolate, dried fruit, or rich nut-based desserts, and should be served at room temperature without ice. Decanting is not necessary.
