Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine shows a deep, concentrated color that hints at its richness and power. The nose opens with layers of blackcurrant, dark cherry, plum, violet, truffle, cedar, and a delicate touch of spice, offering both intensity and refinement. The palate is generous and polished, with ripe dark fruit wrapped in silky tannins and a refined mineral edge. Beautifully balanced and long on the finish, it has the structure and harmony to age gracefully for 20–30+ years, developing even greater complexity with time.

Château L’Évangile is planted on prized Pomerol terroir, with clay and gravel soils and a notable iron-rich subsoil that gives the wine depth, texture, and aromatic complexity. The 2019 vintage was vinified parcel by parcel to preserve precision and terroir expression, with modernized cellars and a focus on purity, balance, and refined extraction.

This wine pairs beautifully with beef, veal, lamb, truffle dishes, mushroom-based recipes, confit de canard, and mature cheeses such as Brie de Meaux or Comté. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if drinking young to help the wine खुल up and show its full aromatic detail.
