Production
Sourced primarily from the famous walled ‘Clos’ of Léoville Las Cases, this wine comes from deep gravel soils over clay and limestone—classic Left Bank terroir that naturally favors Cabernet Sauvignon and lends structure, minerality and longevity. The vineyard is meticulously managed, with low yields, high-density plantings and careful green harvesting to ensure concentration and ripeness. Grapes are harvested by hand, parcel by parcel, with strict sorting both in the vineyard and at the winery. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel and wood vats, with vinification tailored to each plot to preserve character and finesse. The Grand Vin is then aged in French oak barriques—predominantly new—for around 18 to 20 months, allowing the powerful tannins to integrate and the wine’s hallmark complexity to unfold.
