Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows an intense red colour with a deep, inviting core. The nose opens on black fruit, layered with oak, vanilla, and subtle toasted notes from barrel ageing. On the palate, the wine is full-flavoured and well-structured, with elegant tannins and a long, intense finish. The oak is integrated rather than dominant, supporting the fruit and giving the wine a refined, ageworthy character. It should continue to develop well over the next several years, gaining complexity and softness with time.

Production
Produced in Côtes de Castillon on Bordeaux’s right bank, Château Hyot benefits from a terroir well suited to structured, fruit-forward reds. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand to preserve quality, then vinified and aged for 12 to 24 months in barriques, allowing the wine to gain texture, aromatic complexity, and balanced oak expression.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, beef dishes, duck, mushroom-based plates, and mature hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting for 30–60 minutes is recommended to let the aromas open fully and soften the tannins.
