With its position on the central plateau of Pomerol and its reputation for remarkable aromatics, it stands as a modern benchmark from a region steeped in history and world-class names.

Tasting Notes
Deep, dense purple in the glass, this vintage shows remarkable concentration and polish. The nose is expansive and layered, with blue and black fruits, floral notes, licorice, truffle, blackberry, dark chocolate, and a subtle earthy depth that gives the wine real Pomerol character. On the palate, it is full-bodied, velvety, and tightly structured, with silky tannins and a long, caressing finish. The wine feels both luxurious and precise, offering immediate appeal while still having the backbone to evolve gracefully for 25 years or more.

Production
Château Hosanna covers just 4.5 hectares on the central plateau of Pomerol, surrounded by some of the appellation’s most celebrated estates. The vineyard sits on blue clay with iron-rich subsoil, the famous crasse de fer, and includes old Cabernet Franc vines, some dating back to 1956. Harvesting is done by hand, followed by double sorting both manually and optically, while vinification takes place in the cellars of La Fleur-Pétrus under the guidance of Etablissements Jean-Pierre Moueix.

Food & Serving
This is a wine that shines with refined dishes such as roasted lamb, beef fillet, duck breast, veal, or truffle-based cuisine. It also pairs beautifully with mushroom risotto, game birds, and aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if opening now to allow the wine’s aromatics and texture to fully unfold.

Producer
Château Hosanna is a relatively young name in Pomerol, created after the Moueix and Delon families acquired Château Certan-Giraud in 1999 and restructured the property into its present form. Despite its brief history, it quickly earned critical acclaim from top wine authorities and established itself as an important Pomerol producer. Its reputation rests on old vines, meticulous selection, and the expertise of one of Bordeaux’s most respected wine families.
