Description

Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial in the impressive 3L Jeroboam format is designed for grand occasions, combining iconic style with generous sharing. This non-vintage Champagne is a benchmark of the region, blending Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from across Champagne into a wine that is as approachable as it is refined. Renowned for its consistency and balance, Brut Impérial captures Moët & Chandon’s house style in one word: complete.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, Brut Impérial shows a luminous pale golden color with a fine, persistent bead of lively bubbles that form a delicate mousse. The nose is open and expressive, with bright aromas of green apple, citrus, white flowers and freshly baked brioche, layered with hints of stone fruit and a touch of hazelnut from reserve wines. On the palate, it is fresh, fruity and direct, yet elegantly balanced. Notes of crisp apple, pear and citrus are complemented by ripe peach and a subtle creaminess, supported by a clean, refreshing acidity and a pleasantly dry (Brut) finish. The blend of base wines with beautifully matured reserve wines adds depth and harmony, giving the wine a rounded, complete profile. Though crafted to be enjoyed upon release, this Jeroboam will develop additional complexity over the next few years if stored correctly, with the larger format often aging more gracefully than standard bottles.

Production
Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial is sourced from all parts of the Champagne region in France, drawing on a wide range of terroirs—from chalky, mineral-rich slopes to cooler, north-facing sites—to achieve its hallmark balance. Around 150 different base wines, predominantly Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, are carefully selected each year, including a significant proportion of reserve wines from older vintages to ensure a consistent house style. The grapes are harvested by hand to preserve quality, gently pressed, and vinified by parcel in stainless steel to retain freshness and purity. After blending, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle and is aged on its lees, before dosage is added to achieve the Brut level of dryness and the wine is matured further to harmonize structure, fruit and complexity.

Food & Serving
This Jeroboam is ideal for celebrations, receptions and festive dinners, pairing beautifully with a wide range of dishes. Serve it alongside oysters, caviar, sushi, sashimi, or delicate seafood starters, as well as light poultry dishes, salads, tempura, and soft, mild cheeses. Its freshness and precision also make it a versatile partner for canapés and aperitif snacks. For optimal enjoyment, serve well chilled at 8–10°C. Decanting is not necessary, but opening the bottle a few minutes before serving and pouring into proper Champagne flutes will allow the aromas to unfold gracefully.

Producer
Moët & Chandon is one of Champagne’s most famous and influential houses, founded in 1743 and based in Épernay, France. Over centuries, it has played a central role in defining the global image of Champagne, becoming synonymous with celebration and prestige. The "Impérial" designation pays homage to Emperor Napoleon, who favored Moët & Chandon and helped cement its historical reputation. Today, the house commands extensive vineyard holdings across the best crus of Champagne and is celebrated for its mastery of blending and consistency at scale, making Brut Impérial the world’s best-selling Champagne and a reference point for the region.
