Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the poised, luminous clarity expected of a great Blanc de Blancs, with a fine, persistent mousse. Aromatically, it leans toward white flowers, citrus peel, orchard fruit, chalky minerality, and subtle brioche tones, with the vintage adding a sense of concentration and ripeness. On the palate, Avizoise 2011 is compact yet generous, with layered fruit, firm mineral drive, and a long, saline finish. Production
Avizoise is sourced from two selected blocks in Avize, one of Champagne’s most esteemed Grand Cru villages for Chardonnay. The wine is always made as a vintage expression, highlighting the nuances of the year and the specific character of the parcels. It was disgorged just two months before release and finished with a restrained dosage of 3 grams per liter, preserving its dry, incisive style.
