Tasting Notes
In the glass, it should show the rich, concentrated colour typical of Amarone, with layers of dark fruit and a polished, full-bodied profile. Expect an inviting nose of ripe cherry, dried plum, blackberry, and hints of spice, cocoa, and gentle oak from its time in barrel. On the palate, the wine is likely to be dense yet balanced, combining generous fruit with Amarone’s signature savoury depth, soft tannins, and a long, warming finish. Thanks to its structure and concentration, it has the potential to develop gracefully in bottle over several years, gaining further complexity and nuance.

Production
The grapes come from the small Il Bosco vineyard in the Valpolicella Classico zone of Veneto, where the vines are over 20 years old and every harvest begins with a strict selection in favour of quality. Only the best healthy grapes are chosen, then dried in the traditional fruttaio before being pressed in January; after fermentation, the wine is aged for two years in barriques and large Slavonian oak casks, followed by an additional 6–8 months in bottle.

This Amarone pairs wonderfully with rich dishes such as braised beef, game, mature hard cheeses, and flavourful pasta dishes with meat-based sauces. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least an hour to allow its aromas and texture to open fully.
