Crafted as a Riserva from carefully selected late-harvested grapes, it combines depth and structure with the elegance that defines the best of Chianti Classico.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the classic ruby-red hue of Sangiovese, likely deepening toward garnet with time in bottle. The bouquet is expected to offer ripe cherry, red berry fruit, floral nuances, and the savory, earthy notes typical of Chianti Classico, supported by a firm yet polished structure. On the palate, Lodolaio should feel layered and composed, with concentrated fruit, vibrant acidity, and well-integrated tannins that give the wine both energy and definition. Production
Lodolaio comes from a unique terroir at 500–600 meters above sea level in Tuscany, shaped by a special microclimate and soil profile well suited to Sangiovese. The grapes come from massal selection of very old vine material, and were harvested as late as possible to achieve maximum ripeness before being matured in the historic Castelvecchi cellar beneath the vaults of the thousand-year-old castle.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for Tuscan cuisine and other savory dishes such as bistecca alla fiorentina, roast lamb, game, wild boar ragù, and aged pecorino. Serve at 16–18°C and consider decanting for 1–2 hours to let the wine open fully and show its balance, fragrance, and structure.
