Tasting Notes
In the glass, it opens with a luminous, refined profile and an inviting aromatic lift. The nose is layered with Lucas pear, green apple, gooseberry, white flowers, and lime, wrapped in notes of almond, crushed chalk, and fresh-baked bread. The palate is dry, juicy, and medium-bodied, with a soft, lightly creamy texture that balances its vivid acidity. Green orchard fruit, poached pear, lime zest, dried herbs, honeydew melon, white blossom, and a hint of apricot kernel carry through to a long, saline, mineral finish. This wine has the structure and freshness to develop gracefully over the next few years.

Production
Capotesta is made from 100% Turbiana, the native and defining grape of the Lugana appellation. The fruit is sourced from selected vineyards in Lugana di Sirmione, close to the shores of Lake Garda, where sustainable farming and the local terroir help shape the wine’s precise, elegant character. Harvesting is done by hand, with careful selection in the vineyard, followed by gentle whole-cluster pressing, fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, and a short period of lees aging to add subtle texture and complexity.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for delicate seafood, grilled white fish, risotto with spring vegetables, shellfish, sushi, or creamy pasta dishes. Serve chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and there is usually no need to decant—though a short time in the glass will help it open beautifully.
